Southeast Austin Apartments
This month, we’re spotlighting the Southeast Austin Neighborhood of Austin, Texas. This week, we’ll be taking a look at some of the apartments in this area close to all the action.
Woodway Square Apartments is a gated community with attached garages and two-story townhomes available. This family-friendly complex has a playground and even onsite daycare!
Hawthorne at the District has an internet cafe, basketball court, and fitness center. Units have laminate wood flooring and rent includes cable and internet so you can save on your bills.

Southeast Austin Schools and Employers
This month, we’re spotlighting the Southeast Austin Neighborhood of Austin, Texas. This week, we’ll be taking a look at the schools and employers in this area.
Southeast Austin is a very large area, and accordingly there are a lot of schools in the neighborhood. Elementary schools include Rodriguez, Widen, and Houston.
Rodriguez’s mascot is the Road Runner and their colors are purple and grey. Rodriguez’s mission is to give each student the opportunity to become productive and responsible members of society by providing a diverse environment that ensures academic and emotional wellness, cultural awareness and appreciation and technical skills with the support of quality teaching, parental involvement, and community interaction.
Widen’s mascot is the Wildcat and its colors are gold and navy. The mission of Carl T. Widen Elementary is to provide quality instruction to ensure that each student achieves academically and accepts social responsibility for becoming productive citizens of society.
Houston’s mascot is the Eagle and their colors are blue and white. All students at J. Houston Elementary will be provided opportunities and services that allow them to progress academically and intellectually. Our students will graduate prepared for personal success and be inspired to contribute to society.
Mendez Middle School serves children in sixth through eighth grades. Their mascot is the Maverick and their colors are Carolina blue, white and silver. Consuelo Mendez’s Middle School’s mission is to prepare students to be successful, productive citizens, life-long learners and creative problem solvers who value teamwork, cultural diversity and mutual respect.
Capital Printing Company creates exceptional print products and marketing material for clients in all fields. They have jobs in a variety of positions at their office just south of Ben White off Burleson.
Life Technologies is an American biotechnology company that provides products and services to customers in the fields of scientific research, genetic analysis and applied sciences. They employ 10,000 people in more than 180 countries, and one of those locations is in southeast Austin, on Woodward just south of Ben White Boulevard.

Southeast Austin Dining and Entertainment
This month, we’re spotlighting the Southeast Austin neighborhood of Austin, Texas. This week we’ll be taking a look at the dining and entertainment options available in this area.
Bella Donna Subs is a beloved lunch spot located on Burleson Road, just south of Ben White. Despite being discreetly tucked away in a strip-mall, regulars recommend pretty much any sandwich, with favorite honors being given to the Southwestern Philly Cheesesteak. The service is friendly, fast, and the restaurant is kept super clean to boot!
Patsy’s Cafe is also located just south of Ben White and delivers down home American style cooking like chicken fried steak and hamburgers. They also have live music most nights to keep you entertained and great drink specials to cure your thirst.
Don Dario’s is in far Southeast Austin, just north of Slaughter Lane. Great margaritas, chips and salsa, and Tex Mex specialities all served in huge portions at reasonable prices.
Looking for your kids to work off some of that boundless energy they never seem to run out of? Or maybe you just want to have a blast jumping on a bunch of trampolines in an air-conditioned environment. Either way, JumpoLine Park fits the bill! Fun-seekers of all ages are welcome at JumpoLine, located just north of the intersection of William Cannon and I-35.

Southeast Austin
This month, we’re spotlighting the Southeast Austin Neighborhood of Austin, Texas. This encompasses a pretty large area, roughly defined as being South of Ben White/Highway 71, East of I-35, North of Slaughter Lane, and West of 183. Southeast Austin is popular because of its affordable pricing while still being located near Downtown Austin.
The area has a lot of points of interest, like McKinney Falls State Park, the Colorado River Greenbelt, and the Austin Bergstrom International Airport. There are also several golf courses in or near South Austin, including Riverside, Roy Kizer, and Jimmy Clay. In fact,Onion Creek, one of the Southernmost Southeast Austin neighborhoods, hosted the PGA Champions tour in the 1970’s. Southeast Austin is also in close proximity to the Lady Bird Lake Hike and Bike Trail.

Southpark Meadows Apartments
This month, we’re spotlighting the Southpark Meadows Neighborhood of Austin, Texas. This week, we’ll be taking a look at some of the apartments in this South Austin area.

Southpark Meadows Schools and Employers
This month, we’re spotlighting the Southpark Meadows neighborhood of Austin, Texas. This week, we’ll be taking a look at the schools and employers in this South Austin area.
Southpark Meadows is zoned to Austin Independent School District Schools. Students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through Fifth attend Williams Elementary School, whose mascot is the Wildcat. Williams’ mission is to develop productive, contributing lifetime learners in our global society and to raise students' achievement by working collaboratively with children, parents, staff and the community.
Paredes Middle School is for Southpark Meadows residents in grades six through eight. Paredes’ mascot is the Puma and its colors are Blue and Gold. The mission of Paredes Middle School is to prepare students to be successful and productive citizens, lifelong learners and creative problem solvers who value teamwork, cultural diversity and mutual respect.
Students in grades nine through twelve attend Akins High School, whose mascot is the Eagle and whose colors are Navy Blue and Old Gold. Akins’ mission is to educate every student to be self sufficient, strengthen every student to face challenges of mind and heart, and nurture every student to become a lifelong learner in a diverse world.
Southpark Meadows location makes it convenient for a commute to downtown, Buda, or even San Marcos, but there are also many employers near Southpark Meadows as well.
Concentra is an Urgent Care Facility located in Southpark Meadows. They employ office staff, medical assistants, nurses and doctors in their offices where they offer both urgent and routine medical care without an appointment.
Holt Cat sells, services and rents Cat equipment, engines and generators for construction, mining, industrial, petroleum and agricultural applications from their location near Southpark Meadows. They employ service technicians and mechanics with a background in heavy equipment and other types of engine repair.

This month, we’re spotlighting the Southpark Meadows neighborhood of Austin, Texas. This week, we’ll be taking a look at some of the dining, shopping and entertainment options in this South Austin area.
Southpark Meadows is anchored by the Southpark Meadows Shopping Center, which is located at I-35 and Slaughter. There are over 90 stores and restaurants in this vast area which surrounds “The Grove”, a collection of Oak Trees on the middle of the shopping complex where there is a playground, splash park, and where bands play Saturday nights.
For dining, Waterloo Ice House is a delicious, locally owned choice for a burger and a beer. Sit outside on their patio adjacent to the playground, or in their large interior. A flavorful bacon cheeseburger with their hand cut french fries or tator tots and an ice cold Shiner on draft is the perfect way to unwind after shopping till you drop. (If you need something a little on the healthier side, the Waterloo Salad, which is bacon, chicken, Granny Smith apples, pecans and blue cheese in an apple cider vinaigrette is a feast that won’t leave you feeling over-stuffed.)

Southpark Meadows
This month, we’re spotlighting the Southpark Meadows neighborhood of Austin, Texas. This South Austin neighborhood is very new and was built on the site of an old family ranch that had been an outdoor music amphitheatre for many years. Located West of I-35, East of South First Street, South of Slaughter Lane, and North of Old San Antonio Road, this area is popular with those seeking newer construction, excellent schools, and a quick commute to both South and Downtown Austin employers.
Residents enjoy a plethora of restaurants, shops and entertainment in the Southpark Meadows Shopping Center. Southpark Meadows is also right by Mary Moore Searight Metropolitan Park, which has six miles of trails, basketball courts, soccer fields and tennis courts so you can spend a day getting back to nature. This rapidly growing area has something for everyone!

Circle C Apartments
This month, we’re spotlighting the Circle C Neighborhood of Austin, Texas. This week, we’ll be taking a look at some of the apartments available in this Southwest Austin area.
Camden Stoneleigh has kitchens fit for a gourmet chef, with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Units have attached garages and large dogs are welcome. Top it off with a hot tub on site and you’ve got a great place to live!

Circle C Schools and Employers
This month, we’re spotlighting the Circle C Neighborhood of Austin, Texas. This week, we’ll be taking a look at the schools and some of the employers in this Southwest Austin neighborhood.
Students in Circle C Ranch attend Austin Independent School District Schools. There are three elementaries in the area for students in grades Kindergarten through Fifth. Clayton Elementary school is an Exemplary rated school whose mascot is the Cardinals and where students are Soaring to New Adventures in Learning.
Kiker Elementary School is also ranked Exemplary and their mascot is the Comet. Mills Elementary is another Circle C Elementary. It is ranked Recognized and its mascot is the Mountain Lion.
Circle C students in grades six through eight attend Gorzycki Middle School, which is ranked Recognized and whose mascot is the Tiger. Gorzycki’s mission is to create a secure and collaborative climate where the Gorzycki community is empowered to challenge, design, build and lead tomorrow’s world citizens through awareness and engagement.
Bowie High School is the learning destination for Circle C kids in ninth through twelfth grade. Bowie is a Recognized School, their mascot is the Bulldog, and it ranks as one of US News and World Report’s Best High Schools in the nation.
As far as employers, Circle C’s location puts it less than twelve miles from downtown Austin and it also provides easy access to Mopac for commutes to employers in other parts of the city.
Barton Creek Mall is about ten minutes from Circle C and has a variety of jobs. There are retail positions in one of the many department stores like Nordstrom or Macy’s, as well as smaller stores like Forever 21. There are also wait staff and host positions in restaurants like Abuelo’s and California Pizza Kitchen.
ArthroCare Corporation has their Corporate Headquarters less than five miles from Circle C. They are a medical device company that develops, manufactures and markets products based on Coblation technology, a medical technology that improves a number of surgical procedures by making them less invasive.
