Circle C Ranch

This month, we’ll be spotlighting the Circle C Ranch Neighborhood of Austin, Texas.  This Southwest Austin Enclave is usually just referred to as “Circle C” and is beloved by residents for its Hill Country feel despite being less than twelve miles from downtown.  Situated East of Mopac and clustered along Slaughter and Escarpment, Circle C has highly rated public schools and is close to amenities both natural and manmade, plus 500 acres of parkland.

If the outdoors are your thing, The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center offers visitors the chance to enjoy native Central Texas Flora and Fauna.  The Veloway is a trail 3.1 mile paved trail open exclusively to bicycles and rollerbladers.  For you shoppers, there’s Escarpment Village, which is filled with all sorts of shops where you can get anything your little heart desires.

Circle C first broke ground in 1982, and the first homes were completed in 1986.  Due to its position over the Edwards Aquifer, there were many contentious lawsuits between the city and the developer of Circle C through the 1990’s.  In 1997, it was annexed and became part of Austin.
