Circle C Apartments


This month, we’re spotlighting the Circle C Neighborhood of Austin, Texas.  This week, we’ll be taking a look at some of the apartments available in this Southwest Austin area.

Camden Stoneleigh has kitchens fit for a gourmet chef, with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops.  Units have attached garages and large dogs are welcome.  Top it off with a hot tub on site and you’ve got a great place to live!

IMT Monterrey Oaks has something for every kind of fitness fanatic, with tennis courts, an indoor basketball court, Yoga Studio, and five pools.  Afterwards, you can relax with a flick in the onsite movie theater.

The Preserve at Travis Creek is pet friendly, with no weight limit and a dog park.  Units feature garden tubs in the bathroom and hardwood floors.  There are even bike trails if you like to ride!

River Stone Ranch has covered parking and wood floors in units.  For recreation, you can choose from an indoor basketball or racquetball court or tennis courts.

Circle C Schools and Employers


This month, we’re spotlighting the Circle C Neighborhood of Austin, Texas.  This week, we’ll be taking a look at the schools and some of the employers in this Southwest Austin neighborhood.

Students in Circle C Ranch attend Austin Independent School District Schools.  There are three elementaries in the area for students in grades Kindergarten through Fifth.  Clayton Elementary school is an Exemplary rated school whose mascot is the Cardinals and where students are Soaring to New Adventures in Learning.

Kiker Elementary School is also ranked Exemplary and their mascot is the Comet.  Mills Elementary is another Circle C Elementary.  It is ranked Recognized and its mascot is the Mountain Lion.  

Circle C students in grades six through eight attend Gorzycki Middle School, which is ranked Recognized and whose mascot is the Tiger.  Gorzycki’s mission is to create a secure and collaborative climate where the Gorzycki community is empowered to challenge, design, build and lead tomorrow’s world citizens through awareness and engagement.

Bowie High School is the learning destination for Circle C kids in ninth through twelfth grade.  Bowie is a Recognized School, their mascot is the Bulldog, and it ranks  as one of US News and World Report’s Best High Schools in the nation.

As far as employers, Circle C’s location puts it less than twelve miles from downtown Austin and it also provides easy access to Mopac for commutes to employers in other parts of the city.

Barton Creek Mall is about ten minutes from Circle C and has a variety of jobs.  There are retail positions  in one of the many department stores like Nordstrom or Macy’s, as well as smaller stores like Forever 21.  There are also wait staff and host positions in restaurants like Abuelo’s and California Pizza Kitchen.

ArthroCare Corporation has their Corporate Headquarters less than five miles from Circle C.  They are a medical device company that develops, manufactures and markets products based on Coblation technology, a medical technology that  improves a number of surgical procedures by making them less invasive.

Circle C Dining and Entertainment


This month, we’re spotlighting the Circle C Neighborhood of Austin, Texas.  This week, we’ll be taking a look at some of the dining and entertainment options in this Southwest Austin suburb.

Waterloo Ice House serves up some of the best burgers in town, plus delicious brews and often live music!  The Circle 
C outpost of this local chain also has a playground nearby to keep kiddos entertained.  

Satellite Bistro goes for a spin on classic American favorites, in a mid-century modern setting.  They’re famous for their martinis and specialty cocktails, plus lots of great drink specials at happy hour.  

In the mood for a pizza pie?  Mangieri’s Pizza Cafe is also located on the outdoor playscape and serves up New York style pizza with generous toppings on an out-of-this-world crust.  The wings are a great side dish or appetizer to the main course and the pastas also get honorable mention.

Alamo Drafthouse has a Slaughter outpost in Circle C so you can get your movie, food and beer in a quiet setting, just like anywhere else in Austin!  From first runs to special kids club movies and off-beat unique revivals, the Slaughter Lane Alamo has a movie for everyone!

400 Rabbits Bar is adjacent to the Alamo and also run by the same people, but you don’t have to see a film to enjoy the drinks here.  With food, fancy cocktails, and a relaxed atmosphere with comfortable seating, 400 Rabbits will keep you coming back for more long after the matinee has ended.

Circle C Ranch


This month, we’ll be spotlighting the Circle C Ranch Neighborhood of Austin, Texas.  This Southwest Austin Enclave is usually just referred to as “Circle C” and is beloved by residents for its Hill Country feel despite being less than twelve miles from downtown.  Situated East of Mopac and clustered along Slaughter and Escarpment, Circle C has highly rated public schools and is close to amenities both natural and manmade, plus 500 acres of parkland.  

If the outdoors are your thing, The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center offers visitors the chance to enjoy native Central Texas Flora and Fauna.  The Veloway is a trail 3.1 mile paved trail open exclusively to bicycles and rollerbladers.  For you shoppers, there’s Escarpment Village, which is filled with all sorts of shops where you can get anything your little heart desires.  

Circle C first broke ground in 1982, and the first homes were completed in 1986.  Due to its position over the Edwards Aquifer, there were many contentious lawsuits between the city and the developer of Circle C through the 1990’s.  In 1997, it was annexed and became part of Austin.

Sunset Valley Apartments


This month, we’re spotlighting the Sunset Valley Neighborhood of Austin.  This week, we’ll be taking a look at some of the apartments in this Southwest Austin city within a city.

The Grand Reserve at Sunset Valley is within walking distance of lots of retail and dining and has a Jacuzzi.  Units have stainless steel appliances, walk-in closets and garden tubs.

Deerfield has an indoor basketball court for shooting hoops, an enclosed dog park for Fido, a theatre room, and valet trash service.  All units include a washer and dryer so you can do laundry without leaving home!

Villages of Bella Vista offer attached garages, two-story townhome floor plans and wrap around patios.  The complex has a dry sauna, billiards, and two pools, one of which is the nicest in the area.

Ridgeview is pet friendly and has no weight limit for dogs.  The complex has a theatre room, billiards, valet trash service and even a putting green for you golf fans.

Sunset Valley Schools and Employers


This month, we’re spotlighting the Sunset Valley neighborhood of Austin, Texas.  This week, we’ll be taking a look at the schools and employers in this little city within a city in Southwest Austin.

Sunset Valley is zoned to the Austin Independent School District.  Students in grades Kindergarten through Fifth attend Sunset Valley Elementary, whose mascot is the Jaguars.  Sunset Valley offers a Dual Language program where students can learn both English and Spanish in the classroom.  

Sunset Valley residents in grades six through eight attend Covington Middle School, whose mascot is the Colt.  Covington was recently designated as a Fine Arts Academy.  Some Sunset Valley students choose to attend middle school at the nearby Ann Richards Academy for Young Women Leaders, Kealing Middle School’s Magnet Program, or Fulmore Middle School’s Humanities and Law Magnet.

Sunset Valley students in grades nine through twelve are Crockett High School Cougars and wear Brown and Gold.  Crockett was named an “Outstanding High Schools that Work School” in 2011.

Sunset Valley’s location less than eight miles from Downtown Austin and just off Ben White/71/290 makes it a great location from which to commute to many Austin employers.  

Sunset Valley itself has a wealth of shops and restaurants that provide employment for everything from customer service to wait staff.  Blooming Pregnancy Spa and Imaging Center does 3d and 4d ultrasounds and massages safe for pregnant women.  They employ massage technicians, ultrasound technicians and receptionists in their comfortable offices on Brodie Lane.

Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites-Sunset Valley employs everyone from desk clerks to janitorial service to managers in this conveniently located hotel.
