Wonder World Drive
This month, we will be spotlighting the Wonder World Drive area of San Marcos. This convenient neighborhood is popular with young professionals and students who prefer to live a bit further from campus. Apartment complexes in this area tend to be newer, more luxurious, and gated.
The Wonder World neighborhood is located a bit further from campus, but it’s still a quick ten minute drive so you can get to Texas State quickly if you are a student or employee. This area is located in southern San Marcos, just off I-35 on Wonder World Drive, named for Wonder World, an amusement park located off of Wonder World Drive. This unusual theme park has Wonder Cave, which is the only commercially operated dry-formed, (formed by an earthquake), cave in the United States. It also has an anti-gravity house, a miniature train and a wildlife park.
